At Word of Hope Bethesda Pentecostal Fellowship, we believe that church is more than a Sunday gathering. We encourage everyone to connect, serve, and grow through the various ministries of the church.
Our ministries are open to people of all ages and backgrounds, providing opportunities for worship, fellowship, discipleship, and outreach.
Worship, Choir & Media Ministry
Our worship, choir, and media ministry serves the church through praise and worship, livestreaming, and creative media. This ministry supports congregational worship during services and helps extend the message beyond the church through online broadcasts, audio, and visual media. Together, the team seeks to glorify God and create an atmosphere where people can encounter His presence.
Children’s & Teens Ministry
Our children’s and teens ministry provides a nurturing and safe environment where young people can grow in their faith and understanding of God’s Word. We follow the IPC UK & Ireland Sunday School curriculum and host an annual Vacation Bible School (VBS).
Alongside Bible teaching, the ministry also creates space to discuss relevant and trending topics, addressing important questions that children, teens, and young people face today, helping them apply biblical truth to everyday life.
Events & Fellowship Ministry
The events and fellowship ministry helps build community within the church through organised gatherings and activities. These include church day-out trips, barbecues, sports days, and other fellowship events that encourage relationship-building, joy, and unity across all age groups.
Youth Ministry
Our youth ministry is dedicated to guiding young people to live out their faith with confidence and purpose. Monthly youth meetings are held on the second Sunday of each month from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, providing teaching, discussion, and fellowship.
The ministry also engages in outreach around the University of Hertfordshire campus and hosts an annual church Talent Test competition, encouraging young people to use their gifts for God’s glory.
Ladies Ministry
The ladies’ ministry offers fellowship, encouragement, and spiritual growth for women through regular and special gatherings. Weekly Zoom meetings are held every Thursday from 8:00pm to 9:00pm, alongside annual ladies’ conferences and occasional lunch meetups that provide opportunities for connection, prayer, and mutual support.
Street Evangelism & Outreach
Our outreach ministry seeks to share the love of Christ beyond the church walls, engaging with the local community through prayer, conversations, and acts of service.
Cell Groups & Prayer Meetings
Our cell groups meet during the week across all church locations, providing smaller settings for prayer, Bible study, and fellowship. In addition, the church organises a monthly prayer walk, encouraging believers to pray for the local community and seek God’s guidance and blessing for the area.
Community & Charity Ministry
Through our community and charity initiatives, we support individuals and families in need, reflecting Christ’s love through practical help and compassion.
